Tetradrachm (Billon, 25.20 mm, 10.31 g) dated RY 5 (= 164-165) Λ ΑΥΡΗΛΙ[ΟϹ] ΟΥΗΡΟϹ ϹЄ[Β] Laureate bust of Lucius Verus right, slightly draped on the left shoulder. Rev. Aphrodite draped standing facing, head turned to left wearing stephane, holding helmet in the right extended hand, drapery on the left arm and holding oval shield inscribed with ΔΥ ΝΑ ΜΙC in three lines, on a short column with Corinthian capital, Є L (date) to left. Rare tetradrachm issued by Lucius Verus, co-regent of Marcus Aurelius, in their common fifth year of reign (164-165 AD). The reverse officially commemorates the end of the conflict in Armenia by Lucius Verus and the pacification of this vassal kingdom of the Roman Empire. Aphrodite, here as the goddess guarantor of Peace, writes on the shield the Victory proclamation: ΔYNAMIC.
