Let us turn to the Severan dynasty, which in its first phase ( 191-217) is very scarce in Alexandrian coinage. This tetradrachm of notable rarity for the type of the reverse with Dikayosine holding scales and cornucopia, shows on the obverse an excellent realistic portrait of Septimius Severus in his fourth year of reign (195-196 AD).
