Probably a unique specimen of this Alexandrian drachm displaying a bust with a severe and solemn portrait of Antoninus Pius on the obverse, while on the reverse emerges the youthful bust of Hermes, of remarkable stylistic quality with the Greco-Egyptian attributes of the caduceus with terminal snakes and the lotus flower protruding in the center of the head. An excellent choice made at the time by Giovanni Dattari for his collection.
