A very rare drachm minted in the significant Alexandrian Sothic year corresponding to the second of the reign of Antoninus Pius (138 139 AD) with on the obverse a realistic bare-headed portrait of the Emperor and on the reverse an imposing Nilus to the left seated on a mound of rocks and bearing his canonical symbols: the papyrus branch, the lotus flowers and the cornucopia.
