ΑΝΤωΝΙΝΟϹ ϹΕΒ ΕΥϹΕΒ Laureate-headed bust of Antoninus Pius wearing cuirass and paludamentum right. Rev. Marcus Aurelius as Caesar, wearing toga, standing right, holding scroll, clasping hands with Faustina II, veiled, standing, left, holding long sceptre; L ΙϚ (date) across field. Dattari-Savio 8068. On the reverse of this rare and valuable Dactarian tetradrachm from the year 16 of Antoninus Pius (152-153 AD), we recognise the young Marcus Aurelius Caesar on the left shaking hands with his consort Faustina II on the right, who had already been elevated to the rank of Augusta in 147 by her father at the time of the birth of the 'first-born' (of 13 children) Annia Aurelia Galeria Faustina.
