This uncommon coin, with a grey-brown patina, is the smallest numeral minted by Augustus in Alexandria. The lunar crescent and the star refer to types from Augustan coinage in the empire latin area and, in particular the star, recalls the one depicted in the roman temple of 'divus Julius', Augustus' adoptive father (Vogt).
