Galba (68-69). AR Denarius, Africa (Carthage?) mint. Struck circa June-October 68 AD. Obv. SER GALBA IMP AVG. Laureate head right, globe at point of bust. Rev. VICT-ORIA PR S C across field. Victory standing left on globe, holding wreath in right hand and palm in left hand. RIC I (2nd ed.) 520 var. 3.38 g. 18.00 mm. An apparently unpublished variety of a very rare type. Choice, brilliant and lightly toned. EF.
