These rare gold coins are possibly votive and seem to be on struck of a gold As of about 0.078 g., a little heavier than the gold as standard employed by Populonia of 0.056 g. and Republican 60-as gold issue (Crawford 1974, 105/2) attributed to Etruria (Vecchi EC, p. 381).
