Stunning Lysimachos

Continental Greece. Kings of Thrace. Lysimachos (305-281 BC). AR Tetradrachm. Uncertain mint in western Asia Minor, c. 305-281 BC. Obv. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ/ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ. Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; in inner left, small bearded head (of Silenos?) above monogram. cf. Müller 452 (Lydia). AR. 16.89 g. 29.50 mm. RRRR. Unlisted in the standard reference, the second specimen known.
Superb, brilliant and lightly toned.
