Anonymous. AV 60 Asses, Rome mint, 211-208 BC. Obv. Bearded head of Mars right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet; LX (mark of value) behind. Rev. Eagle standing right on thunderbolt, with wings spread; ROMA below. Cr. 44/2; Syd. 226; Bahrfeldt 4a; RBW 160-1. 3.34 g. 14.00 mm. RR. Very rare. A coin of extraordinary quality, brilliant with underlying luster and virtually as struck. Insignificant reverse die metal flaw. FDC/About FDC.
