C. Numitorius. AR Denarius, 133 BC. Obv. Helmeted head of Roma right; behind, ROMA; below chin, barred X. Rev. Victory in quadriga right; in exergue, C·NVMITORI. Cr. 246/1; B. (Numitoria) 1. AR. 3.92 g. 18.00 mm. RRR. Extremely rare, one of the rarest issue in the whole series. Great metal and full weight. An outstanding example, sharply struck, from masterly engraved dies, perfectly centred and prettily toned, with golden hues. Probably among the finest known. Encapsulated by Classical Coin Grading MS 62.
