ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΤΡΑΙ ΑΔΡΙΑ CЄΒ Laureate head of Hadrian to right, with slight drapery on his left shoulder. Rev. ΓV-NAIK L IA Isis standing left, holding a ram on outstretched right hand. Here is a small but precious obol of the nome Gynaicopolite (Lower Egypt) struck in the year 11 of the reign of Hadrian (126-127 AD) with on the obverse the laureate head of the emperor engraved in beautiful style, while on the reverse the pertinent deity Hathor–Aphrodite standing at left, dressed in chiton and peplum, holding in her right hand the ram horns of Ammon. Everything perfectly centred and plunged in a splendid brown original patina with emerald hues. Specimen coming from the famous collection of Giovanni Dattari.
