Emperor Caro at his death was at once deified as it is borne out by our tetradrachm, unusually undated but dating back to 283 A.D., death year, dedicated – the only case in the Alexandrian coinage – to his consecration, referred to by the altar with burning fire on the reverse and the legend AΦIЄPωCIC.
