Very nice tetradrachm issued in the year 1 of Claudius II the Gothic (268-269 AD), emperor and victorious commander against German and Goths, one of the few who died of disease (plague) at Sirmio in September 270 AD. The coin shows a clear laureate and cuirassed bust on the obverse and sculptural head of Selene in great style on the reverse with a monumental lunar crescent in front.
