Athena draped standing facing, head turned to right, wearing long crested Attic helmet and aegis, holding long spear in the right hand and oval shield at ground against it, owl with closed wings standing facing left on her left extended hand, L K (date) across fields. Tetradrachm of great rarity showing, on obverse, the portrait of the young Caesar Marcus Aurelius. RPC IV.4 knows of five specimens in total, including ours cited in no. 5. The coin celebrates also the vicennalia of Antoninus Pius showing the date of his 20th year of reign (156-157 AD).
