Divus Vespasian (died 79 AD). AR Denarius, struck under Titus, 80-81 AD. Obv. DIVVS AVGVSTVS VESPASIANVS. Laureate head right. Rev. EX SC. Victory standing left, placing shield on trophy, at foot of which sits captive left. RIC II-p. 1 (2nd ed.) 364; C. 144. AR. 3.56 g. 19.00 mm. Scarce. A bold portrait, clearly modeled on that of Titus. A choice example prettily toned. with golden hues. Reverse slightly off centre. Good VF/About EF.
