Charioteer, holding reins with both hands, driving fast quadriga left; above, Nike flying right, crowning charioteer with wreath; in exergue, artist's signature KI-M split by a murex shell (?). Rev. ΣΥΡΙΚΟΣΙΩΝ (sic). Head of Arethousa right with loose wavy hair; before, dolphin swimming upwards; [artist signatures KIM to right and K below]. HGC 2 1368; SNG ANS 306. AR. 1.68 g. 17.00 mm. RRR. Of the greatest rarity. Darkly toned, some minor pitting. About EF. Signed three times by Kimon.
