Calabria. Tarentum. Circa 315-302 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 19.79 mm, 8.00 g) Nude horseman right, holding round shield and two spears behind his back, on horse prancing right, hurling the third spear, ΣΑ below horse’s belly. Rev. TAPAΣ to right. Taras nude on dolphin left, holding long trident on the left arm and kantharos in the right extended hand (out of flan), small dolphin below swimming left, monogram AP below the right arm.
