L. Plautius Plancus, 47 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19.10 mm, 4.01 g) Rome. L. PLAVTIVS in exergue. Head of Medusa facing, with flowing hair and coiled snake on either side. Rev. PLANCVS in exergue. Aurora draped wearing flowing dress, flying on four horses, facing slightly three-quarter right, partially bare chest, with open wings, outstretching the right leg nude transversal to left, holding palm branch in the left hand and leading horses, galloping right loose reins, holding the one on the foreground to left prancing right with the right hand.
