Charioteer, holding kentron in right hand, reins in left, driving slow quadriga right; above, Nike flying right, crowning horses. Rev. ΣVRΑΚΟΣΙΟΝ. Head of Arethousa right, wearing tainia; four dolphins around. HGC 2 1307; Boehringer 271 (V124/R187); SNG ANS cf. 91-92. 17.39 g. 24.50 mm. A superb piece with a wonderful archaic head of Arethusa. Darkly toned and well centred; struck with slightly worn obverse die. About EF/EF.
