RIC IV 21. 3.09 g. 20.50 mm. Lovely delicate patina with golden hues. Good EF. Elagabalus was born at Emesa in 204 AD. As a child, he was elevated as the high priest of the Syro-Phoenician sun god Elagabus or Heliogabalus, and later became known by this name.
