Anonymous. AR Quinarius, uncertain Sicilian mint (Catana?), 214 BC. Obv. Helmeted head of Roma right (tripartite visor, head extended forward, griffin's with a single large spike on the back); behind, V. Rev. The Dioscuri galloping right (long and thin capes, extended horse tail); in trapezoidal frame, ROMA. Cr. 47/1a-b; RRSC Bq 10. 2.06 g. 16.5 mm. Enchanting delicate tone, underlying luster.
