Julius Caesar. AR Denarius, Geto-Dacian Imitation. Obv. Head of Venus right, wearing diadem; Cupid on shoulder. Rev. Trophy with oval shield and carnyx in each hand; on left, seated female captive; on right, bearded captive seated with hands tied back; in exergue, CAESARE (sic); on left, IMAS (?); on right, MVS retroverse. Cf. Cr. 468/1; Cf. RRSC D 258.1. AR. 3.46 g. 19.00 mm. RR. Very rare and interesting contemporary imitation. Well centred and lightly toned with golden hues. Small test cut on obverse edge. About VF.
