Sulla seated left between on left, Bocchus king of Mauritania, and on right, Jugurtha king of Numidia, both kneeling. Cr. 426/1; B. 59. 3.83 g. 18 mm. R. Rare. Enchanting iridescent old cabinet tone. Slightly off centre, otherwise. good VF/VF. This moneyer was the son of the great dictator, and his types are in honour of his father. The reverse represents the submission of Bocchus and the surrender of Jugurtha. Faustus married Pompey's daughter. (D. R. Sear, RSC I, p.40).
