THRACE. Byzantion. Countermarked on a Drachm of Lysimachos (305-281 BC) in the name and types of Alexander III 'the Great'.

Obv: Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin; c/m: prow of galley right, ΠY above, within circular incuse.
Rev: AΛEΞANΔPOY.
Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle and sceptre. Controls: In left field, head of lion left above crescent; [pentagram below throne].
