The catalogues of this company are distinguished by the superb illustrations and meticulous descriptions made by Dr. Jacob Hirsch and constitute one of the most important series (or perhaps the most important) of auctions of ancient Greek and Roman coins of absolute quality and importance, being indispensable for establishing and tracing pedigrees.
