Rudolph Graf von Wrbna-Freudenthal was a high-ranking official in the Austrian Empire. His career milestones were: 1790 Hofrat in the Court Chamber for Coinage and Mining, 1806 Chief Chamberlain and personal advisor and companion of the emperor responsible for his safety during travels. 1811 he was responsible for the organising of the issue and redemption of the new paper-money which was essentially a state-credit system. He received the Order of Saint Stephen of Hungary in 1806 which was the highest civil order in the Habsburg Monarchy.
