EGYPT. Antinoopolis. Circa 2nd-3rd century AD. Tessera (Lead, 22.00 mm, 5.01 g). Personification of Nilus bearded and draped, looking right seated on rocks on which is a crocodile diagonal below to left, holding reed and cornucopia; before Nilus, Euthenia (?) draped, standing left in front of him and raising her right hand. Rev. Antinous (as Hermes) wearing clamys, holding caduceus and long feather with his right hand, on horseback to right; above, Nike flying left, crowning Antinous with wreath; L and Γ (date) to right and below horse's front right leg.
