

Punic Sardinia. AE Shekel (?), c. 241-215 BC. Uncertain mint. Obv. Wreathed head of Kore left, wearing triple-pendant earring; below chin, caduceus. Rev. Three corn-ears; above crescent and globe; to right, letter(?) (or metal flaw?). Lulliri pl. 19, 371; Piras 1993 177. 5.23 g. 22.50 mm. R. Lovely glossy dark green patina, spectacular coarse style. Minor area of weak strike, otherwise virtually as struck. Good EF.
