Carinus as Caesar (282-283). AE Quinarius, Ticinum (?), c. AD 284. Obv. [I]MP CARINVS AVG. Helmeted, laureate and cuirassed bust left, holding shield [and horse by bridle]. Rev. [VICTO]RIA AVGG. Victory standing left on globe, [holding wreath]. RIC V -. 0.77 g. 15.00 mm. RRR. Extremely rare, apparently unpublished. Only one specimen known: Bertolami Auction 12, lot 942. Dark green patina, traces of silvering. Broken flan, otherwise. About EF.
