CARIA. Mylasa. Circa 180-140 BC. Drachm (Silver, 15.50 mm, 2.28 g). Pseudo-Rhodian type. Facing head of Helios with eagle superimposed on right cheek (not visible). Rev. Weakly struck with some deposits. Very Fine. Vey Rare variant. This coin is from the last issue of the pseudo-Rhodian drachms at Mylasa. In this phase of the coinage, Ashton recognized that the two line inscription on the reverse encompassed the abbreviated name of the magistrate responsible for the coinage, and the abbreviated month of the Macedonian calendar in which the issue was struck. gr. 2,28
