Horse prancing left; palm tree in background. HGC 2 283; Jenkins, Series 2d, 139 (O46/R125); de Luynes 1442 (same dies); Gulbenkian 365 (same obv. die). 17.14 g. 27.00 mm. R. Rare and superb, sharply struck from a masterfully engraved dies. A lovely portrait of fine style. Enchanting old cabinet tone over fresh and brilliant surfaces; minor nick on chin. EF.
