Sicily. Leontini. AE Tetras-Trionkion, c. 405-402 BC. Obv. Head of Apollo left, wearing laurel wreath; ΛEON and olive leaf and berry to left. Rev. Tripod; kithara within legs, barley grains flanking, three pellets (mark of value) in exergue. HGC 2 709; CNS III 1; SNG Cop. 361. AE. 2.05 g. 15.00 mm. R. A very attractive example, perfectly centred, from masterly engraved dies. Lovely uneven reddish brown and light green patina. Good VF.
