Rev. VENVS SC. Venus standing facing, head left, holding apple and rudder, round which dolphin is coiled. RIC III (A. Pius) 1388. 24.21 g. 34.00 mm. From masterfully engraved dies, struck on a broad medallic flan. Lovely reddish brown patina. Hair-line flan crack at 6 o' clock and significant delamination spots, otherwise about EF.
