Sicily. Motya. AR Trias, c. 400-397 BC. Obv. Head of nymph facing slightly left. Rev. Four pellets within wreath. HGC 2 -; Jenkins, Punic, –; Campana 25b; Manganaro 38 (uncertain Punic mint). 0.13 g. 7.00 mm. RRR. Extremely rare and in exceptional state of preservation. Of reduced weight compared to the few other specimens known. EF. As noted by Campana, the attribution of this piece to Motya is doubtful, and likely based on the tentative attribution of a similar trias to Motya by Jenkins (Jenkins, Punic, p. 74, 7).
