During his fleeting appearance in Alexandrian numismatics, Vitellius barely has time to celebrate and wish, in this very rare diobol, the fertility of the earth thanks to the periodic flooding of the deified river Nile, here expressly reproduced with its symbols. The portrait of the ephemeral emperor appears odd and also relatively physiognomic.
