Continental Greece. Thrace, Maroneia. AE 27 mm, after 146 BC. Obv. Wreathed head of young Dionysos right. Rev. ΔΙΟΝΥΣΟΥ/ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ. Dionysos standing half-left, holding grapes, narthex stalks and cloak; below, monogram to left; in exergue, ΜΑΡΩΝΙΤΩΝ. SNG Cop. 643 var. (monogram). AE. 10.20 g. 27.00 mm. A very attractive example. Lovely light emerald green patina. Good VF.
