Sicily. Naxos. AR Litra, c. 415-403 BC. Obv. ΝΑΞΙ. Bearded head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath. Rev. Grape cluster surrounded by vine tendril and leaves. HGC 2 976; SNG ANS 530 (same dies); Cahn 144 (V87/R115); Campana 29. 0.79 g. 12.00 mm. RR. Outstanding example. Excellent metal for issue. Lovely dark tone with, small patch of find patina on reverse. Slightly bent flan, otherwise. EF.
